Homeless ID Project is one of 16 nonprofits working to end homelessness from our primary location on the Keys to Change Campus in downtown Phoenix. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to overcome homelessness and rebuild their lives by providing access to replacementidentification documents required to obtain jobs, housing, and other vital services. In 2024 we saw 17,000 individuals and provided a total of 13,000 documents including State IDs and Birth Certificates from all 50 states. Through our advocacy efforts we have sponsored 7 bills in the last 7 years resulting in 2 new laws. Advocacy efforts also resulted in gaining an MVD office in the Homeless ID Project office making it much easier for our clients to get the documents they need to successfully exit homelessness.
