Thursday, April 9, 2026 | 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. Indy by Industrious | 201 E. Washington St., 5th Floor, Phoenix, AZ 85004 Complimentary parking validated by ACE in the building garage By Invitation — PCA Members Only The way we move is about to change everything. The roads we drive. The buses we board. The intersections we cross. The corridors that connect our neighborhoods to our jobs, our schools, our lives. For generations, transportation infrastructure has been the invisible backbone of how cities grow  quietly shaping where we live, where we work, and how we experience the world around us. But that backbone is being rewired. Autonomous vehicles. Connected infrastructure. Real-time data systems. AI-powered traffic management. The convergence of technology and transportation isn't a distant idea, it's already underway, right here in Greater Phoenix. And the decisions being made today by the region's transportation agencies will define the physical form and lived experience of our city for the next fifty years. This Arizona Tech Week, Phoenix Community Alliance and Gartner are bringing the people making those decisions into the same room — and inviting you to be part of the conversation. Meet the Panelists These aren't just leaders. They are the architects of how Greater Phoenix moves. Jesse Gutierrez Director & County Engineer | Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) Leading one of the nation's most innovative transportation agencies, including the nationally recognized SMARTDrive connected vehicle program. Jesús Sapien Public Transit Director | City of Phoenix Overseeing transit systems that move hundreds of thousands of Phoenix residents and shaping how public transportation evolves in one of America's fastest-growing cities. Audra Koester Thomas Executive Director | Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) Directing regional transportation planning and technology investment strategy for a planning area spanning 10,600 square miles and more than five million people. Kerry Wilcoxon, P.E., PTOE, RSP1 State Traffic Engineer | Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Guiding statewide traffic engineering and technology deployment for one of the country's most dynamic and rapidly expanding transportation networks. Transportation & Mobility Leader | Gartner Bringing a national and global lens to how emerging technology is transforming transportation systems — and what the data says about where we're headed. The Big Questions The future of transportation is not just an engineering challenge. It is a question about what kind of city we want to be. How will autonomous and connected vehicles reshape the streets, parking structures, and transit corridors of Downtown Phoenix? What role will real-time data play in reducing congestion, improving safety, and creating a more equitable city? How do we build the technology infrastructure today that our region will depend on in 2050? And what does all of this mean for the businesses, developers, and community leaders who are investing in Downtown right now? Our panelists won't just answer these questions. They will challenge the way you think about them. What to Expect A high-level, forward-looking conversation with the top transportation executives from ADOT, MCDOT, City of Phoenix, MAG, and Gartner Candid insights into the technology investments and infrastructure decisions shaping Greater Phoenix's mobility future A discussion about what this transformation means for Downtown Phoenix — its built environment, its businesses, and its residents An open networking reception immediately following the panel — connect with panelists, PCA Members, and fellow civic leaders in an informal setting Why This Moment Matters Phoenix is at an inflection point. We are one of the fastest-growing metropolitan regions in the United States, and our transportation network is being asked to do something it has never done before — keep pace with explosive growth while embracing a technological revolution that is rewriting the rules. The agencies represented on this panel are not waiting for the future to arrive. They are building it. And for the businesses, developers, and civic leaders who call Downtown Phoenix home, understanding where transportation is headed isn't just interesting... it's essential. Join us for an evening that will change the way you think about the city we're building. This event is open exclusively to PCA Members. Space is limited — RSVP today to secure your seat.   This event is co-presented by Phoenix Community Alliance and Gartner as part of Arizona Tech Week 2026. Complimentary parking is provided for all attendees courtesy of ACE Parking in the 201 E. Washington St. garage. Read more Read less
