Sara is a jane of all trades, master of none except for the art of the pun. With a 15 year history in marketing, events and community development she has found a way to utilize campaigns, events and activations to support shared initiatives. She is the utility player that finds a way to turn an idea into action. She started Proxsea in 2019 as a consulting firm focused on placemaking initiatives. Proxsea has since been able to spearhead several events and campaigns for both clients as well as the downtown Phoenix community at large.
Connecting with the community is what gets her up in the morning. She holds positions on the City Of Phoenix Development Advisory Board, Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market Board and The State Forty Eight Foundation Programming Board. She is a proud recipient of the 2019 Distinguished Service to Exceptional Children Award from the Arizona Council for Exceptional Children for her work on the Upward & Onward at CityScape project. Some of her favorite past projects include; Phoestivus, CitySkate Phoenix, 2022 Bike to Work Day, Arizona Restaurant Week, Viva Phx: A downtown music festival, Phoenix Elementary School District 150th Campaign, Zombie Walk, XLIX Super Bowl Central in downtown Phoenix, HRC Gala, Junior League Rummage Sale, and The Wurst Festival Ever – The festival that features her love language, Phoenix’s first pun competition: Suns Out Puns Out.
In her free time she loves exploring the outdoors and volunteers regularly for causes connected to inclusivity, healthy lifestyles, education, culture, sustainability and anything that will allow her to flex her muscles in dad jokes.
I want to be involved in the conversations that shape downtown Phoenix.
